So there is a lot that I want to say this record but I'll make it brief cause I know you're busy because you're very important and you spent too much time watching those gourmet snack food YouTube vids pants-less instead of preparing for the big meeting with the foreign investors.

So at the heart of this project lies a paradox. The songs all center around a theme of social isolation, longing for community, and the awkwardness that comes with trying for genuine connection with other people. But while we were making this, I was surrounded by some of the most amazing people who I love and care for. Now I'm not gonna say that the community I was looking for was around me the whole time, that's lame. The truth that these songs come from a genuine lonely that, despite the wonderful friends and family in my life, still manifests. I have a feeling I'm not alone in this. However, I will say that I have a profound sense of gratitude to these people, I wish I was better at expressing this.

The lyrics that I'm most proud of writing come from the outro of "out loud"
they don't rhyme and they aren't poetic or symbolic, but they're honest.

this album is dedicated to everyone who has made my time on earth infinitely more enjoyable and meaningful.
